INDUSTRIAL CHIC WEDDING – KAYLA & BRIAN — Julia LaCroix Styled Events

We could not have kicked off our 2016 wedding season with a lovelier couple than Kayla and Brian and we couldn’t be happier to share with you their Industrial Chic Wedding!

These two college sweethearts wanted to set the tone for their wedding festivities in a hip and modern Minneapolis venue. Kayla wanted something that was aesthetically pleasing while Brain wanted the space to have an industrial feel. Upon walking in to the Solar Arts Building in the heart of Minneapolis, both knew they had to look no further. The beautiful exposed brick walls, wood beams and abundance of natural light made Kayla and Brian fall in love instantly.

When designing the concept for the reception we decided to add contrast to the space by bringing in grey linens from Linen Effects to cover the tables, each table was then garnished with crisp white napkins that worked perfectly with the venue’s black Chiavari chairs. Martha’s Garden’s adorned this perfect venue with lots of greenery and gorgeous flowers for additional warmth and romance. As a focal feature behind the head table, we suspended feet upon feet of beautiful leafy garland dripping with garden roses and peonies. A lush runner of seeded eucalyptus and loose blooms accentuated the head table and served as the perfect nestling bed for bridesmaid’s bouquets and lots and lots of ambient candlelight. Textured silver mercury glass was used throughout our design adding just the right amount of elegance and enchantment to the space.

Of course we must mention how STUNNING Kayla looked in her Anne Barge wedding gown featuring a lace bodice, ruched cummerbund & lavish full skirt from Posh Bridal Couture. Kristi and team from Swept-Up provided on-site hair and makeup services which allowed everyone to have an easy-breezy wedding day morning. From beginning to end you can find unique touches like Brian’s Happy Socks with pink hearts, his groomsmen also sported assorted patterned Happy Socks, to their very own hashtag #SomeKeinerWonderful, to the amazing sheet music mural which just so happened to the most perfect place for a photo opp.
