NATURE’S GLAM STYLED SHOOT

I have been dreaming up my first styled shoot for some time now and what I envisioned couldn’t have come to life any better.  The vendors that I worked with were absolutely amazing!  I feel so honored to have worked with each and every one of them ans together we brought to life our Nature’s Glam Styled Shoot.

For the design I wanted to capture something that had contrasting feels, yet had unity and naturalness between them. The organic vibe for this tabletop shoot came from the gnarled grape wood and beautiful green succulents that were used in the floral design, the glamorous feel came from all of the luxurious tabletop elements.

Our color palette was a perfect combination of glamour and elegance with a touch of organic nature, I created this by using rich black, hues of gold, a touch of platinum and shades of white.  Elements of glass, wood, candles, florals, and greenery emphasized the feeling of luxury I wanted to capture throughout the tablescape.

Upon visiting the ultra-modern Walker Art Center, I immediately knew this was the place I wanted to use for this styled shoot, the scenic backdrop of the city and all the natural light pouring in from the floor to ceiling windows highlighted the beauty of this carefully curated tablescape just perfectly. Nuage Designs provided the exceptionally-glam black shimmering sequin linen that set the tone for the entire design.  The beautiful Curly Willow Silver Chair Sleeve’s were provided by Wildflower Linen and were the perfect complement to the luxurious King and Queen platinum velour chairs from Après Party and Tent.  Elegant gold rimmed china and flatware, also from Après Party and Tent, added the perfect amount of pop and sophistication to the overall tablescape design.

No wedding would be complete without stunningly beautiful floral designs – and that’s exactly what Martha of Martha’s Gardens created. Her use of hydrangea, roses, succulents, anemones and cascading Phalaenopsis orchids were the perfect accent to my vision.

The desserts! D’Amico Catering provided the most delicious little confections, and a gold-accented petite cutting cake to boot!

One of my favorite things at weddings are the details, so it’s no surprise that I wanted to get a lot of specialty items made for the shoot. This included a gorgeous five-piece stationery set from Spark Letterpress, featuring gold foil, marble textures, and unique hexagon die cutting. Capping off each place setting was a custom hexagon letterpress menu, and black velour ribbons were used to hang calligraphy place cards off of individual petite Champagne splits.

Of course, it goes without saying that none of this would be possible without an incredible talented photographer to capture all the beauty.  My dear, dear friend, Betsy Wall of Betsy Wall Photography worked her magic to shoot all of the details to perfection.
